A little while ago I was explaining to the Cat Knits group on Ravelry about a simple cat pad I made in my early months of knitting. Ida, founder of Lily Friends asked me if I could write it up in a pattern so it could be posted to the Lily Pads page. Well, I hadn’t made one in years, and I couldn’t remember which yarns I used, and in what quantities. Yup, you guessed it. I actually went out and spent money on (just say NO!)velty yarn. 3 DIFFERENT ones to be exact, to match my cat.

Let me just say, if it weren’t for my love of most things furry, I’d have never EVER in a million years made this again…on purpose.

Stats:
Pattern: Muppet Pelt Assmat
Yarn: 2 balls each: Paton’s Cha Cha (tango); JoAnn Sensations Cello (Mink); Caron Bliss (Black)
Needles: US Size 15 [10.0 mm]
Started: January, 2008
Finished: January, 2008
I am almost embarrassed to call this a pattern, it’s so simple. I’d consider it more a yarn recipe than a knitting pattern. But since Ida asked, who am I to say no? Especially if it’s going to help knitters make stuff for shelter cats?

Speaking of ass…

OMFSM that dog. When I first looked at it, I had no idea what was going on, it looked like some sort of mutant, and then I turned my head and… damn. I’m amazed that there are no brown noser comments, or maybe it’s just because that’s an obvious joke 😉
