You should check out the copyright laws before you print a shirt with a logo that resembles anything from Disney. They are extremely strict with their copyright, so please check into it before you print or doorway advertising.

Thank you. I do very much appreciate your concern, I have looked into it, and this falls in a “gray area”. However, these aren’t any different than the T-shirts families have printed up for their big day in the park. Actually let me change that. They ARE different. Many group shirts I see at the park have the exact logo on them, along with the wording “Jones Family Reunion, 2012 (or something similar). Mine are 3 strategically yarn balls and a pair of knitting needles. If needs be, I have a back-up logo.
Additionally, I’m not making a single penny on these. The price covers the price of the shirt, printing, set-up fee, and shipping to me.

I ordered. Will the preorder for Dizzney Day yarn be up soon?
Laura
Yes, I should be getting the order form up today. Had internet issues at home, as in, I had none. So I’m a little behind now. However, I did dye up more!

Are the bust sizes correct?
Laura
The bust measurements are of one side of the shirt laid flat. For example, the bust measurement of the medium is 16.5″, which comes out to 37″ around. I hope this helps

Laura, I used the form just now from my IPad, very user friendly to order my shirt.
Re copyright, designs and patterns need to be changed by 15% or so was the case some 20 years ago when I used to design and sell at craft shows. I recently attended the Renegade Craft Faire in Downtown LA, where there were some vendors that had ‘Disney’ items to which I too, thought ‘questionable’ copyright violation due to the images looking exactly like Mickey Mouse.
I personally the logo should be ok, as they are yarn balls. Now, if Mikey’s eyes, nose, and smile were added….might be a different story.
Looking forward to the event!

Thanks Jan. This puts my mind at ease. I think I may change the color from black to a deep maroon/wine color, just to be on the safe side.

I think that since you are using it for profit, this may not be a good thing to do. Disney does not like this.
Laura
If you had read all the comments before posting yours, you would have seen that I am NOT making a profit. The prices of these shirts are AT COST. The purpose of these shirts is NOT to make money, but to have a shirt everyone can wear to Knit Dizzney.

More colors please… :o)
