It’s a Slumber Party…Knit Dizzney-style!

Our 10th Anniversary Celebration Slumber Party will be Saturday, 9/16/2023 (registration form at the bottom of this post). We were unable to get a large suite at the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. Instead, we will be staying at a nearby hotel: Anaheim Marriott Suites Hotel located at 12101 Harbor Blvd., Garden Grove, CA 92840 on Saturday, 9/16/2023, less than 2 miles away from the Disneyland Resort, and an even shorter distance to the Toy Story Parking Lot (which is the one I’m going to use).

You will need to book your own room. On the Anaheim Marriott Suite’s website (linked above), the average cost of the standard 2 room suite is around $150 for the night, not including taxes and fees. As every room in this hotel is a suite, even the standard room can sleep up to 6 if you double up, or 3 if you don’t. If you wish to maximize your occupancy (thus minimizing your expense) please book the “1 Bedroom 2 room Suite, 2 Doubles, Sofa bed”.

If you don’t have a party of three or larger, but willing to make a new fiber friend or two, just let us know on the registration form below that you are either a “single rider”, or wish to team up with one, and we will put you in touch with each other.

Check-in at the hotel is 4:00 pm. As your hosts for this party, our room will be the gathering point for all festivities so we will let everyone know what room we are in via text. After you settle in, please make your way to the host suite where we will have fun care packages for everyone and where we can decide what we would like to do for dinner.

If the tech gods are with us, we will be viewing Hocus Pocus and Hocus Pocus 2 in the host suite, which will include refreshments, including “adult” libations and snacks. If you so wish, please bring your favorite beverage of choice. We will have solo cups in case you wish to share. Also, please bring your favorite knit, crochet or spinning project with you, because, you know…yarn!!!!

The next morning, the hotel offers breakfast (I think you could actually book a room with breakfast included) if you wish, and then we will be off to the Disneyland Resort for those of us going on the park excursions for the day. Check out is at 11:00, however, if you are carpooling with someone to the park, you can leave your car parked at the Marriott until you are ready to leave for the day.
